Medical Mission Trips
Connect the Doc’s is actively participating in supporting Medical Mission Trips. Connect the Docs’ has taken the role of working with our local non-profit organizations to serve as a tax-free repository for donations aimed at supporting Connect the Doc’s Medical Missions. Connect the Docs donates 10% from each member’s annual dues to be put towards the many needs required in facilitating a Medical Mission trip. We will work with our members to form a team of interested volunteers and physicians to work together to coordinate training, education, preparation and fund raising for these events.
Med4Nicaragua 2012 Mission Trip
April 7-14, 2012
First Informational Meeting:
Wednesday October 26, 2011 at 6:00pm or
Thursday November 3, 2011 at 12:30pm at the
Scripps Encinitas Hospital Conference Center
Med4Nicaragua is a volunteer group of physicians, nurses and many other medical and non-medical people who have come together through a special bond and desire to help those in this world who have limited access to health care and especially surgical care.
Centro Quirurgico Ambulatorio El Samaritano is a free clinic outside of Managua which includes an outpatient surgery building. It is directed by Dr. Nour Sirker and provides a home to medical missions such as ours.
